A GARAGE DOOR WORKDAY, MADE SIMPLER

A small cost on every job
can become a big blind spot.

Extra time on site. A second trip. A disposal fee that never made it into the quote. Bring the recorded costs together so you can see where a job’s margin went. Use that context to review your prices, spot repeat issues and decide which work deserves a closer look.

01

Follow each revenue dollar

See invoice revenue alongside item costs, labour, commission and expenses linked to the job. Review gross profit and margin with a visual breakdown of where the money went.

02

Find the jobs that need attention

Set your target margin and filter for jobs below it. Review jobs with a loss, compare job types and look at technician results before assuming that a busy schedule means healthy margins.

03

Work with assumptions you understand

Review hourly rates, labour burden and commission rules. Completed jobs are the default view; include in-progress work when you want a provisional picture that can change as the work continues.

GOOD TO KNOW

Job costing,
explained.

Clear answers before you get started.

Which costs are included?

Recorded invoice item costs, technician labour, commission and expenses attached to the job. Labour uses recorded driving and job time with the configured rates and burden; it falls back to job status history when time entries are missing.

Is gross profit the same as company net profit?

No. General overhead such as office costs, insurance and truck ownership is not allocated into the job’s direct-cost calculation. Review those business expenses separately.

Can I compare different kinds of work?

Yes. Switch between views by job, job type and technician, choose a period, and filter by job type or margin target.

Does this rely on my recorded data?

Yes. Accurate item costs, time entries, expense records and company assumptions are essential. An incomplete record produces an incomplete cost picture.
